TCTSY (Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga) is a movement practice for making choices and cultivating awareness. It was developed as an intervention for people who are living with the effects of trauma, and it can be helpful for anyone who wants to move their body in a non-pressured way.
While many exercise classes offer a goal to their participants—get stronger, improve your balance, get your heart rate up, relieve stress, or feel better—TCTSY intentionally avoids having an “agenda” for any given practice, and facilitators offer all movements as an invitation to participate if, when, and how you choose.
