These classes offer a space where you can explore movement at your own pace. All of my teaching invites you to adapt the offering to fit what you need or feel safe doing.

This and other aspects of my approach stem from a few learnings that have resonated deeply in my experience:

  • movement practice is useful when it "meets you where you are"
  • healing happens through safety and agency
  • we all have the capacity for growth and change

Folks with all variation of ability and familiarity are welcome in my online group movement classes. I ask that you schedule a time to meet with me before attending your first class. It'll be a chance to share any objectives you have in joining class and ask any questions you have for me.

When you come to class, I'll take a moment at the beginning to introduce you to the rest of the folks attending and welcome you into the community!

Mov/ed Steady

Sundays 8-9:15am
My intention with Mov/ed Steady is to offer a movement practice in which we focus on one action or stretch or breathing practice at a time. The shapes and movements I offer draw from various explorations of the body and how we move that I've encountered while studying dance, yoga, the alexander technique, strength conditioning. My teaching/facilitating approach is trauma informed. 

You're welcome to make of this practice what you need!

Mov/ed Joint Mobility

By appointment
This practice moves methodically through a series of movements where the focus is on one joint area at a time. I begin by offering time for seated breathing and end with reclining rest.  As always in Mov/ed sessions, you're welcome to modify or skip any of the movements or practices. 

Mov/ed Restorative
& Meditation

By appointment
Restorative and meditation practices invites you into a space for stillness, quiet, rest, and/or observation. Email me to request a restorative or meditation practice for yourself or a group. Custom session rates apply.

In restorative, I'll offer supported reclining and seated forms (you can use yoga props or pillows and blankets from around your home). Restorative can be especially useful during times of stress, recovery, and healing --and as a preventative practice! 

In meditation, I offer some gentle movement to ease into a seated or reclining practice of focusing the mind, using breathing, visualization, and mantra.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION ZOOM

I ask that you schedule a time to meet with me on Zoom before attending a regular weekly class time (use the button below). It'll be a chance to share any objectives you have in joining class and ask any questions you have for me. It's free.

JOIN THE CLASS MAILING LIST

After meeting with me, you're welcome to join my weekly classes on a drop in basis. I'll offer to add you to the mailing list so that you can receive class details and weekly reminders if you choose.

I offer my weekly classes on a pay-what-you-choose basis. Payments of all sizes support my teaching and make it possible for me to continue to offer classes.
