on the other side of the glass plate, she wore nothing is a project about the role of fashion in one’s self-perception and in the outside perceptions of that same self. It is about the open crevices of identity and the intimate arena of exposure.
It is also a project for challenging my boundaries within performance by borrowing from disciplines whose methods and theories are not standard in my creative vocabulary. The most present of these is fashion, but includes also comics and architecture. It will be created by artists who situate themselves in the visual, movement, sound, and textile arts.
other side will explore creating a non-linear narrative, an architecture of audience experience, and a humble deconstruction of its performative methods within its own skin.
